Mena; thank you for writing. I believe today's post from Colleen answers my question regarding John, Sr's father:
"John Shoaff b/1795 (wife Mary) died in Neshannock Twp Lawrence CO. Pa at the home of his son Albert. He was the son of Peter Shoaff b/1755 in Cumberland Co Pa and Elizabeth Minks b/ 15 Sept 1763 in Adams Co Pa.
Although I have not researched, Peter, myself. I believe this to be true because my Father-in-Law always talked about being related to the Minks."
