I am a descendant of John Johnson (b. Mar. 17, 1784)and Anna Shively (b.Sept. 3, 1784 in Shelby Co., Ky., daughter of John Henry Shively and Mary Banta, who Daniel Boone assisted in getting through the Kentucky wilderness. John Johnson and Anna's first born child, William R. Johnson b. 1809 in Orange Co., Daviess, Ind. married Mary Polly Hardin who was born Oct. 5, 1828 in Oldham, Ky. daughter of Henry Harden and Mary Smith. John Johnson and David Johnson of Ky. married Shively sisters. John m. Anna and David married Elizabeth Shively (b.May 17, 1790). If you go to Orange Co., Indiana website and do a search on Henry Shively if will give you a lot of information. I am interested to know if your Mary Polly Harden and mine are one and the same. I have not heard that story of her being a captive. My email is
