For all that are looking for relatives this is my information and maybe someone connect. My Great Grandmother was Elma Lauretta Shively b. 02/22/1862. My mother told me she came from Ohio on a wagon train. She was cutting wood and part of her foot cut off my an axe.
She ended up in Michigan. I don't know if she married in MI or not but she married Charles Frederick Grinnell.
In the 1870 census of Columbina, OH, her father is listed as William age 56, and mother is Margaret (Glass). Other siblings listed were: Jeanette, Calvin, John F. (1857-1941), Clorinda (b. abt 1860), Alice (b.1868), Rachel Clara, and Charles. Believe William was buried in the Crystal Cemetery in Montcalm County,MI. The headstone has the dates of 1834-1899. Margaret's date of death is 1901.
John F Shively is also buried in the Crystal Cemetery, died in 1941.
If anyone can connect with these names, please e-mail me your information. I have information on the Grinnell's also.
