I am the author of a book on the history of Shively, Kentucky. The city (a suburb of Louisville) was named for Christian William Shively, who applied for a land patent for 1000 acres on May 22, 1780. What would you like to know about your ancestor and his descendents? I probably can help you a lot. For example, he was the father of 10 children. He died in 1826 at the age of 106. I can show you the Shively family cemetery.
