Cornelius Sebastian Shively-Born 1790-or95.Died at sea,wife Catherine lived to be 94 buried in Friendship,La.Settled in BienvileParish,La.Amos shively(183-94)m.Sarah a.Malone-7 Children.One William Buchanan(1856-1930)my grandfather.Can give all details if wanted.I want to know when they arrived in Ohio as they settled in Bienville Parish,La.My father(One of 11) was George Winston Shively.Born 1898-1950 Contact me and I can give you La.History.The name was Shively not Shiveley in La. Might have been Schively in Germany.Dates of arrival in US from Hamburg probably available.Dr.Cornelius Shively probably the most famous.Lee's Col. at Appomattox.9th La.Infantry Regiment,later assigned to Army of Northern Virginia.Complement of 1,474men and after 3 years only 67 remained alive.
