In the spring of 1780 two flat boats with Shivley, Hardin, Harding and Robertson families were floating down the Ohio River and attack by indians at the nouth of Limestone Creek near Maysville, Ky. In the first volly of fire over half the men were killed or wounded. The boat with the women and children drifted near the north shore and was stormed by the indians and all were captured or killed. Many ot the remaining of these families settled in present Washington and Marion county area of Ky. I have no information on the Shivley family but will share what I have on the other families and would appreciate any information and help I receive. John
