I found the following information on the George Shively that you might be looking for. This information comes from the February 1991 issue of the Shively Newsletter. It clearly states that this information needs to be further researched but might be a clue to you as to where to start researching:
Jacob Shively b Frederick Co, MD
d 23-Nov-1814 Stark Co, OH
Barbara Thomas b 1-Aug-1771 PA
d 2-July-1851 Start Co, OH
1) Sally Shively (m) Abraham Metz
2) Daniel Shively (m) Magdalene Houser
3) Nancy Shively (m) John Hildebrand
4) John Shively (m1) Sarah Meyers
(m2) Margaret Meyers
(George b 19-Aug-1795 m 3-Aug-1819
d 9-June-1879)
6) Christian Shively (m) Martha DeWeese
7) Isaac Shively (m) Susanna Snider
8) Barbara Shively (m) Jacob Snyder
9) Jacob Shively (m) Anna ?
10) Susanna Shively
11) Hanah Shively (m) (David) Jacob Hildabrand
12) Ester Shively (m) Johnathan Miller
13) Joel Shively (m) Naomi Arnold
14) Molly Shively (m) John Steel
If this lineage can be proven than you will be able to trace your Shively line back to Switzerland and the work that George W. Andrews has done.
