Since no one responded to my first message, I thought I'd try again. The family legend is that Conrad Shively came to America as one of seven brothers from Germany in the mid-1800s. His son William Abraham Shively ended up in Iowa where he sired my grandfather Edward Shively. Do any of you other Shivelys have a similiar legend?
