Looking for evidence of a Wimsatt-Shively or Wimsatt-Coleman-Shively connection.
Oldham Wimsatt (and a woman named Pearl Aud) were witnesses to my grandfather Edward Coleman's marriage to (Mary) Roberta Shively, in Stanley, KY, 1937.
Edward Coleman's parents were ME Coleman and Jennie Elder.
(Mary) Roberta Shively's parents were Jacob Shively and Margaret E Payne.
Are the Wimsatts and Shivelys intermarried, or is Wimsatt a friend of the family on one side or the other? I have not found the name in the family records before, but have heard of it and vaguely of an "uncle Oldham".
Any information helpful.
