Greetings. As I understand it, Christopher Columbus Shirley married Ophelia Victoria Howell in 1873 in Pickens County, Alabama. Ophelia died in 1909 in Pickens County. Some have indicated that Columbus or "Bob" Shirley then married an Ada Howell. This would be sometime after the 1910 census, where he is listed as widowed, but before his death in 1918. Does anyone know if this Ada Howell was Ophelia's sister Ada Howell? It would fit, because this Ada Howell, born 1865, was living with her mother, Mary Elizabeth Graham Howell, in Pickens County in the 1900 census.
