A Mary Shirley married John McNear of Newcastle, Maine. She died in 1819 and is buried in the Sheepscot Cemetery, Maine. They had 10 children. John McNear, Jr. married Agnes Shirley (a first cousin) of Chester, N. H. in 1778.
