In regards to Amanda Jane Jones that married Aaron Yancy Shirley, You say that she is the mother of Ellen, James D,Ducilla, John A. and Aaron Yancy Shirley. From my research I would like to make the following corrections.
Aaron Yancy born 1828 was married (1) Jane Amick, Jane died between 1862 and 1870. See 1860 Census of Anderson Co. SC. He married Amanda C. Jones 1878, according to the 1900 census of Anderson Amanda did not have any children (0-0).
The names of Aaron and Janes children are Ester Ellen born 26 Aug 1851, James Daniel born 12 May 1853, Sarah Ducilla born 1855, John Allen born 1 Apr 1859 and Yancy Jane born 1 May 1862. This information is from Census and tombstone records.
