Jacob Shirkey born in New York abt. 1849. both his parents born in NY. Reference is 1880 United States Census Household Record. I am interested in the family of his wife on that Census. Sarah Hambrook Shirkey born 1850 in New Jersey. Her father was John Hambrook,born in England, her mother was Catherine( Called Thene ) born abt 1825 in NY. Her brothers were Charles W. Hambrook b 1855 in NJ, and William Hambrook born 1860 in NJ.
They are all in the same Household in 1880, Ward 16th, District 1, Manhattan, New York City Greater New York.
