John M. Shirk Indiana 1834

Hi,

My great grandfather was John M. Shirk, born around 1834 in Indiana and married in 1861 to Georgia Darnell in Montgomery County Indiana. According to the census, his father was born in Ohio and his mother in Kentucky, but I have not been able to find out who they were. There was a John M. Shirk born in Parke county in 1834, but if his father was David Shirk, he was born in Georgia and not Ohio. I would love to hear from any one who might have any info at this time.
