Interested in learning more about Scheurer family originating in Beden, Germany, emigrated USA 1843.
W.W. Scheurer (b. 1846 Erie Co. NY) married Carrie M. Treim (b. 1847, Ohio). Four children: Lillian, William, Mabel, Seward. Believe two other brothers who also came to Benten County (La Porte)IA.: J.J. born Beden 1835 and J.M. born Germany (Beden?)1838.
Seward spelled his name "Shirer". He grew up in Iowa, was a lawyer in Chicago,had three children: Josephine, William and John.
