I remember visiting the country church and cemetery near Adamsville, Ohio with my parents in the early 1960's. My father, Richard J. Shirer, was looking for the grave of Peter Shirer, which he remembered seeing in the 1930's during a Shirer family reunion in the Zanesville area.
I remember finding a gravestone that was over the back fence that was for Peter Shirer. I think that my father may have taken a photograph of it. Whenever I get back to Indiana to visit my mother, I will attempt to go through the old family photos to find it.
Do either of you know anything about the reunion in the 1930's? Thanks.
