I have a Benjamin Shafer dob ? , m Leah Jane Sherman b 1857 and had children. I haven't been able to find him or when he was born. Your Shirer is another soundex name for Shafer and all it's spellings.
Do you have any other information for him? Do you know if he had a Daniel in his family?
