I am directly descended from Valentine, through Peter Sr. His son James Manley was the father of my great grandfather Winfield Scott Shirer whose son was Roy Henry Shirer.
I am interested in all research that fills in the blanks. If you visit my homepage at http://www.geocities.com/heartland/Village/1485/index.html you can see what information is missing. This is a collaboration and any and all family descendants and ancestors will be included as they are identified.
I started this as something to give my family at my mothers 90th B-Day this Sat. but I want all families to get involved and submit their information. If you notice any information you think is incorrect please notify me.
Currently I am researching Valentine Shirer (Shirrar)'s parents and siblings. I know a Johan Valentin Scherer and a Valentin Scherer (19) came to Phila., PA on the ship "The Harle" in 1736 from Rotterdam via Cowes England and the similarity in the names and the dates being about right raise the possibility he was Valentine Shirrar's grandfather.
