just checked the census images on ancestry.com. In the 1850 Census George is listed as George W. Shira, Dooly County, Georgia, 24th district, dwelling number 198. His occupation is listed as laborer

1910 Census, Daleville, Dale County, Alabama
Daniel H. Hartzog, age 56
Harriet M. Hartzog, age 56
census states Harriet had 6 children

In the 1930 census it appears Daniel has remarried and has a child age 17, so it is likely Harriet died soon after the 1910 census was taken.
