Charles Goodman Shipwash, ca. 1892

I am looking for two things: 1) relatives in the U.S. and 2) anyone with knowledge about where the name comes from in England. My grandfather was Charles Goodman Shipwash and he married Della Bullock. Charles' father was John Shipwash. My father is Lewis Douglas Shipwash, who has three brothers: Griffin, J Will and Howard. As far as England is concerned, there is a John Shipwash listed in brass rubbings in the 1400s. Does anyone know if this name is from the village of Sheepwash in Devon county? Is that how we got this name?
