Just to answer this question. The linage for Samuel Denton SHIPMAN is as best I know as follows;
Daniel SHIPMAN - Elizabeth BURLESON
Jacob B. SHIPMAN - Sarah KUYKENDALL
Isaac SHIPMAN - Miss DENTON (unknown first name)
Samuel Denton Shipman - Elizabeth "Betsy" PULLEY

Samuel was born about 1810 in Tennessee and Elizabeth was born about 1809 in North Carolina.

And they were married on 21 Nov 1828 in Hardeman County, Tennessee.
