I have that Roy was named Alfred Roy Shipman the son od Thomas David Shipman Jr. and Thanie "Fannie" Askew the daughter of William Thomas Askew and Mary Elizabeth Talbott. Thomas David Shipman Jr. was the son of Thomas David Shipman and Martie Jane Jones. My father was named Roy Shipman and was often confused with the Roy in Durant as he lived in nearby Ardmore, Oklahoma but he was ten years younger than Alfred Roy Shipman. My father was a twin with a brother named Ralph.
