On my great grandmothers death cert. her name is Mary Jane Shipman b. Sept 6, 1863 Missouri d. Dec 27, 1925 Bollinger County, MO. For parents it says father Shipman mother Brown no first names. When she married my great grandfather George Washington Lee in 1893 in Bollinger County, her marriage license says her name was Mary Jane Botkins and she was from Randles, Cape Girardeau, MO. George Lee died & she married Albert Samuels in 1901, they are both buried in Crites Cemetery in Marble Hill, Bollinger County, MO. We were told she was Cherokee Indian, her mother was born on the Trail of Tears near Cape Girardeau, MO & we know she had a cousin John Brown other than that she is a total mystery. I have never been able to find out anything about her, any suggestions? Notify Administrator about this message?
