Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

Jamie --

I did a little more sleuthing and found his Obituary in the Las Vegas Sun, copied below----

FRANK J. SHINKLE

Frank J. Shinkle, 65, of Las Vegas died Monday in Las Vegas. He was born July 8, 1932, in Kentucky. A nine-month resident, he was a retired engineer for NASA and a Korean War and Vietnam War Navy veteran.

He is survived by his wife, "Gypsy" Maria; two sons, Tito A. Berousek of Las Vegas and Frank J. Shinkle of California; one daughter, Yvonne Marie Johnson of Roseburg, Ore.; four sisters, Nana Lee Shinkle and Terrie Dittman, both of San Antonio, Joyce Dow of Conroe, Texas, and Geanna LeBeouf of Galveston, Texas; one brother, Stanley Shinkle of Las Vegas; and two grandchildren.

Visitation continues until 7 p.m. today in Bunker Mortuary, 925 Las Vegas Blvd. North. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday in Our Lady of Las Vegas Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens.

I also visited the Clark County website; it lists where to write for death certificates; the cost is $11 and they want a copy of your photo ID. Some of the names above can probably be searched at www.anywho.com, where you could write for mor family history.

Happh Hunting.

Don Fleming
