I have found on the census the following:
Benjamin Shingleton married to Elizabeth Henderson. They had the following children:
Martha E. Shingleton
Robert I. Shingleton
Sarah C. Shingleton (twin to Robert)
Charles A. Shingleton
John Shingleton
Elmore Shingleton
Mary Shingleton
Samuel Shingleton
Samuel was my grandfather and was married to Clarcy Vernie
Zirkle.
If anyone has any information on this family please post and e-mail me. The census was 1880 in Booths Creek, Taylor, WV., there was another census in 1870 from Clay Twsp., Harrison Co. WV.
