Thanks to Dunbar e-mail about a LDS Website I checked on the Federal Census of 1880 and verified a Benjamin Shingleton/Elizabeth Henderson as having the following children: Martha E., Robert I., Sarah C., Charles A., John, Elmore, Mary, and Samuel. Benjamin was a son of John Shingleton/Mary Polly Humphrey. I believe that Samuel may be my grandfather who married Clarcy Vernie Zirkle. If anyone knows of this family and who the others married please contact me, although I think this is driving me nuts between the Hendersons, Williams, Zirkles, Shingletons, Jones and all of the rest. The names keep crossing. Thanks for any info and I hope this helps someone else. I think that the John mentioned is John William Shingleton who married Elizabeth Bircher. I have a picture of Clifford Sherley Shingleton, one of his sons. Linda
