Thanks so much for the info concerning Mary Jane Shingleton and John Carder.I thought Mary Jane Shingleton and John got married abt. 1786 and that Mary Day was John Carder's 2nd wife. They were married before 1790. I'm confused.... The first child, Isaac was born in 1790. Where did you find the probate record attesting William Shingleton's will? I would really like to see a copy of it. Also, William Shingleton, possible brother to Mary Jane, served in the Rev. War. I am guessing that John Shingleton was Mary and William's father.
