wow....
I have been looking for a connection to some of my ancestors.I have research that indicates that my ancestor, John Shine was born in 1759 and buried in 1832 in Jeffersonville, Twiggs, GA.I ran into a roadbolock because i understand the courthouse burned in 1909 and i have been, so far, unable to locate records. According to my research, his father was Col. Daniel Shine, born in 1729 in Duplin County, North Carolina, and his father was Major Daniel Shine, born in 1690 in Dublin, Ireland.i have records to prove this, if anyone needs them. Back to John Shine, his son was William Porter Shine (the first) and his son was Uriah Hix Shine MD (my great, great grandfather). Do you have any other insight regarding Twiggs county and the Shines? Susan Shine Kilcrease [email protected].
