Hi Pete. Thanks for the info.Unfortunately, my Shine family did not marry a Naylor.Ellen Shine b. 1838 in Ireland married about 1857 to Terrence Cain b. 1833 Ireland.I'm not sure if they married there or in New York before they moved to Centralia, Pennsylvania.Their youngest child, Julia Ann Cain was my great grandmother. She was born 1876 in Centralia, Pennsylvania.Terrence died Jan 1878.Not sure if natural causes or mining accident.Ellen Shine Cain lived until 1912.
I'm not sure what part of Ireland the Cain family is from, but I will guess that the Shine family is also from the same area.
My Naylor family is my husband's line.I have traced it back to England, but again, not sure exactly where.
I don't spend much time working on the family research, although I would like to.Too much time demands for my employer.Oh well..
Thanks again for the info. It's funny how sometimes something you think won't fit sometimes does.I will tuck it away and see what comes of it!
Good luck in your searches.
Connie
