Hello Joyce Hill. It is good to hear from you again. On a prior occasion you sent me invaluable information about the Bobb family which greatly speeded up my research on the a family from which we both descend.I am particularly grateful that you have taken such care in citing your sources which led to still more discoveries about my family, which descends from Peter Bobb's daughter, Adaline (Bobb) (Mathews) Hagey.I am the grandson of Adeline's daughter, Francis Anne Hagey.
I have hit the proverbial "brick wall" with respect to the family of Peter's wife, Margaret Shimer.I have reason to believe that at least one of Margaret's siblings also married into the Hagey family and the lack of proof leaves a hole in my own research. You mentioned that you did not have the citation regarding Margaret's death.I tried to get a death certificate from Wisconsin and was told that they could not find one.I rely on a picture of her tombstone which says 5/28/1903 (Indian Creek Cemetery from Thompson's Tombstone project) and an obituary from the Republic Observer of 6/11/1903 which says "One of the oldest residents of this county died in Beach, Friday, May 29th".
Thanks again for your help.If there is anything that I might share, especially from the family of Adaline Bobb (1843-1938) do not hesitate to ask.
