Hi Ann: The Davis tribe indicates that Isaac Davis [1804-1878] m. Mary Phillips d/o Ephriam & Sarah Phillips. Further, we show Philip H. Davis, m. Phoebe J. Shigley on 20 Jan 1847. If I recall correctly, Phoebe acted as mid wife at the birth of either John Davis or Arthur Davis,sons of Joseph W. & Nancy Minerva (Jaynes/Janes) Davis. John Mahin's name in Davis history is spelled Mahan. Our spelling must be incorret. Isaac Davis, aka Isaac Mason Davis m. 1. Sarah Mahin & 2. Juda Ann Frnaklin. I read someplace that Judah Ann may be a descendant of Benjamin Franklin.
Judah Ann was d/o George Franklin and Anna Mary Peterson. A bio on Wilson Shigley notes he was b. in Green Co., OH 22Jun 1823, s/o John & Annie Shigley, & m. Lucy Steward. If related to you I sure you are aware of his bio.

I keep looking for a family history written by a descendant of one of the clan that might shed light on Abel & Mary DAvis. cheers, Joe
