Jacob Shier and Anne Sparling

Jacob and Anne had 11 children, 10 of whom survived. The last two were Joseph born in 1828 and John born in 1830. Now someone tells me that They were twins. They both died in Kincardine Joseph in 1891 and John in 1896. Can anyone verify this for me?
