Hi Rebecca,
My Husband is related but not very closely I suspect. In my history I had Samuel married to a Mary E. Smith. Now I just take my information as it is given to me or as it is in the Sparling site although I do have a lot of information from the Shier reunions.
I have Samuel's Father as Nathaniel Shier but I have no parents for him. I have Samuel's mother as Racheal Doupe and her parents as Samuel Doupe and Catherine Shier. No information on who Catherine's parents were either.
