Sorry I could not be more specific - I did read somewhere that Hans Adam came from 'near Speyer'. There is a list in the Irish Palatine Newsletter 1991, compiled by Patrick J. O'Connor ( People Make Places: the story of the Irish Palatines) drawing on Musters of 1715 and 1720,, and enumeration at St. Catherine's below London of 1709; sailing records from Rotterdam, among other sources. He lists:-
Hans Adam Schyer, among the first party at Rotterdam, "aged 35,wife, two sons, 5 and 8, 1 daughter aged 2, Reformed Religion, Occupation: Husbanman and vinedresser "

If Hans' occupation was as given, then he would have resided, not in the town of Speyer, but in the wine growing country outside the town. His family records would be found somewhere away from Speyer itself surely?
