SHIELS and BOWYER

Hi There

Does anyone out there have a Margaret Shiels born 08.22.1823 in Crossgar, County Down, Northern Ireland. She married George Bowyer, sr who was born 10.06.1813 in Wesminister county, Middlesex, London, England.

I would like to know who their parents were and if they had any brothers and sisters.

They are my great grandparents.

They settled in Prescott, Ontario, Canada. He was in the ARMY, I think. The initials on original papers that I have are RCA or RCN. He was a Master Sergeant. Initials could stand for Royal Canadian Army or Royal Canadian Navy. I do know that he was posted in Kingston, Ontario, Toronto, Ontario and St. John, New Brunswick as at least three of their children were born in these areas.

Thank you for any help you can give me.

regards

Peggy McLean Cooper
