Corinna, The circumstancial evidence is certainly getting stronger. It is certainly possible that Della remarried (for whatever reason) in 1899. I don't know where she moved to after she married. My mother and grandmother were both the youngest of their families. My mother doesn't remember her Aunt Della being around and doesn't remember who she married.
There was for sure a Winnifred (she was called Winnie) in the family.
To be honest, when I found the marriage certificate for Della the first time I did not follow any further to look for a second marriage. Perhaps we should look in Oakwood and or Houston for an additional marriage certificate or death certificate for the mysterious J.M. Jordan.
Do you know where Della is buried?
I am looking through my files for the name and address of the person I talked with some time ago who was a descendant of Izora Shields. I really have not researched this line for some time so I must refresh my memory
