Tom,
Sandy replied to your post and mentioned a Shewmake(r)/Chastain marriage. This Chastain sur name pops up often in this family. Joab Howard [b.1816] m. Winna Reece - her sister Margaret m. Abraham Chastain - and Winna & Margaret's youngest brother is named Maxwell Chastain Reece! What can you add to the Howard/Reece/Chastain/Shewmake connections?
