James Hildred Shew, was born about 1921, and the family was listed in the 1930 census.His parents were Hubbard M. Shew (1893 - 1960) and Katie E. Morgan (1986 - 1991)and both were born in TX. I have 6 children for them.
Hubbard Shew's parents were Guilford C. Shew, born abt 1852 in AL and Luticia "Tommie" Allen, born about 1853 in AL. I have 8 children for them.
Guilford Shew's parents were Daniel Shew (Abt 1824 in Wilkes County, NC - Aft 1854 in Cherokee County, AL) and Margaret Battles (Abt 1827 in AL - after the 1870 census in Cherokee County, AL). I have 3 children for them.
Daniel Shew was a son of Boston Shew (born 1793/1799 in NC - died after the 1860 census in Franklin TWP, Izard County, AR) and Elizabeth Brewer (abt 1790 in NC - aft 1850). I have 7 children for them, and 2 more children from his 2nd marriage to Betty ____.
Daniel was a son of Philip Shew (Abt 1750 - Abt 1832 in Wilkes County, NC) and Susannah (no dates on her, but named in his will). I have 11 children for them.
