Looking for information as to Aaron Lane Shew (my fratenal Great Grandfather) after he left NYS and went to Cheney KS.
Born to Cornelius Lane Shew and Sally Shew on September 27, 1837 and died in 1919 in Cheney, KS.
He had married one Mary E Downs of Stileville, NY and had several children including Mary Jennette, Levan Renssler, Eta Getrude, Willis Aaron, Gaius Edward,(My Grandfather).
Why he went to Cheney from NYS and left his family behind I do not know. I suspect it may have had some connection with the paragraph below.
Also am interested in any information anyone may have about Cornelius Wells Shew, Son of Abraham J Shew of Susquehanna County PA. Cornelius died in 1901 and is buried somewhere in Susquehanna County PA.
