Sorry about the delay. There's a new little Shew descendant -- my nephew Duncan was born 29 Dec and he and his older brother (Dennis, age 3) are keeping us all mighty busy.
Thanks for all that terrific info. I believe I have seen the Sarrett/Sarratt name, possibly on records in Cherokee County. I'll check and let you know. I don't have near the info I'd like to have on Gilford and his descendants, but there is a great source of info on the descendants of Daniel's firstborn, William Washington Shew.
