I to have done a lot of research on the same family and i'm a direct decendent of ALEXANDER MARLEY and JANE YORK MARLEY
I have ALEXANDERS ESTATE RECORDS from the N.C. ARCHIVES and JANE YORK MARLEY filed for her share of his land in 1846 . There are 8 pages to these records and names his heirs and children. Hiram is not mention as a child or heir of ALEXANDER. I have been trying to find his parents for a long time with no luck. I do know that JANE YORK MARLEY could not of died in MORGAN COUNTY in 1842 and file for her share of land in NORTH CAROLINA in 1846.
I was told that HIRAM and MARY had one child and it was a girl, do you know if this is true? If so what was her and and when did she die. Thank you for answering my posting.
