Hello Carol,

Are there any named (First and Last) in The NS Book of Negroes that
you would like me to look at or do you have a copy of this book?

I live close to the main libraries in both Halifax and Dartmouth and they have some good sources for genealogy that you will not find at the NS Archives. They have family records and books for many different places in Nova Scotia that have been donated to them by family members. I have donated quite a few things myself to the archives and libraries here and in New Brunswick.

Here is another tip that helped me. My father had 3 male ancestors that the history book said there was no information to be found beyond their arrival in New Brunswick.
I found all three by searching the family’s they married into. Their wives families keep all the information I was looking for and had donated copies to the libraries.

If I can do any look-ups for you let me know.
Good Luch and Happy Hunting, Marlene
