William, Henry and Stephen Sherwood. I am trying to see if there is a link between these 3 Sherwoods who were in Norwich Township, Oxford County, Ontario before 1842. William was here the earliest, before 1820. All 3 are on the 1842 assessment. Stephen is the eldest born in 1794 and William in 1811 in Albany. Henry married Deborah McAulay, of a pioneering Quaker family, in 1831. Marriage by Solomon Lossing. She was disowned for marrying out of the faith. Deborah was from Dutchess County. Henry died quite early and in one census Deborah is living in Oxford with an O'Dell family (with a connection to the Sherwoods in Dutchess?).
