Mrs. Lucetta R. Sherwood, daughter of Milo Wells, and granddaughter of Captain Simeon Wells, was born in China (now Arcade,NY), March 27th, 1830, and married Sherman M. Sherwood, son of Dr. Anson Sherwood, of Michigan, Feb. 26th, 1849. Her husband was of Scotch descent. She owns a farm of two hundred and three acres. Mr. Sherwood died Feb. 23rd, 1878.
