*John Sherwin born Staffordshire 1801 married Eliza Ede at Uttoxeter 1833. Children Charles born Ipstones 1838, Vernon born Ipstones 1839, John Henry born Staffordshire 1841, Benjamin born Chorlton-on-Medlock 1845, Lucy Ellen born Chorlton-on-Medlock 1849, Mary Eliza born Chorlton-on Medlock 1851. My great-grandfather was Charles who came to Melbourne Australia with his wife Elizabeth (nee Foster) in the 1870s. They were living at 4 Alica Street, Hulme, Manchester before they left England. Interested to hear from anyone who connects with this family.
