PATTERSON - Marjorie E. Sherwin, 85, of the Patterson area died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2006, at her home.
She was born Feb. 21, 1921, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Henry Elvis and Ruby Jennings Spencer. She married John Sherwin in 1947 in Murrayville.
Mrs. Sherwin graduated from Murrayville High School in 1939 and Western Illinois University in 1943. She taught home economics at Alpha High School, Ashland High School and Winchester High School. She was a member of Milton Christian Church.
Survivors: husband, John; two daughters, Nancy (husband, Peter) van den Honert of Erie, Pa., and Marilyn Sherwin of Elgin; son, John Neal Sherwin of Evanston; and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, Mackey Daws Funeral Home, Roodhouse. Burial: Pine Tree Cemetery near Patterson.
