Hi,

John Sherwin and Ann Turner of Alnwick Township, Ontario were my great grandparents. I am related through their youngest son Fletcher Charles Sherwin (1864-1919), and his son, William Fletcher Sherwin (1898-1975), who was my father. John Sherwin (or Shearwin) emigrated from Hutton Wandesley, Yorkshire, England in 1832. He and his five brothers all came to Northumberland County, Ontario from Yorkshire during the period 1832-1855, settling in either Alnwick Township, or adjacent Haldimand Township. I have quite a bit of information on this family, as well as those of the other five brothers, and would be happy to share this with you.

Sincerely,
Don Sherwin
