Hello,
I am very interested in the Sherwins of Alnwick Twp, Ontario. Two of the sons of Anthony Sherwin and Jane Bootland from Yorkshire settled in Alnwick in the 1830's. John Sherwin b 1813 married Ann Turner in 1839. His brother Anthony b 1808 married Isabella who I believe was Isabella Dowler b 1808 in Ireland. I am currently writing a book about early Alnwick Twp (1840 and before). There are many Sherwins buried on my ancestral THACKERAY farm (Centenary Cemetery) in Alnwick. Any info welcome.
