I am searching for Joseph Shearl born Tenn. 1828 , also spelled Sherrell, and Sherrill. Married Rachael born 1829 in Illinois. Children are Lavina (Levisa Jane) , Abraham, James, William, the children were all born in Illinois. Lived in Macoupin County Illinois and and are in the 1860 Census of that County. 1850 Census shows Joseph Sherrell 21 m Farmer b. Tenn, Rachael 21 F b.Tenn. and a son John L. 1 year born Ill. Also in Macoupin Co. 1850 Census there is a John Sherrell 55 m B.Tenn, Pricilla 48 b. N.C. Pamelia 18 b.Tenn, Isaac 17 b.Ill. Mary 16 b. Ill. Hiriam 11 b. Ill. Peggy 6 b. Ill Eveline 2 b. Ill. Would like to hear from anyone working on this line I have very little information on this family.
