Uriah and William SHERRELL, Tennessee, 1815
I am not a SHERRELL researcher but obtained the LDS microfilm of court minutes for Blount Co., Tennessee, while looking for my MAJORS ancestors and a JACKSON connection. While searching the court minutes, I came across the following.I offer it here to perhaps help a SHERRELL researcher.I have no other information than this about the SHERRELL surname:
Court of Pleas and Quarter Sessions, Thursday, 30th March 1815.Andrew Jackson,, agent for John Jackson, vs. William SHERRELL and Uriah SHERRELL.This record is recd in the name of John Dunlap, Executor of the John Jackson, decd, who is administrator of such, the warrant terminated and the named Andrew Jackson and agent, to which the defendant by his attorney objected.
Monday, June 27, 1815.Inventory of the estate of Andrew Jackson, decd, returned to court and filed, and ordered that the same be exposed to sale agreeably to law.
The above is written exactly as recorded in the court minutes, with name spellings, abbreviations, etc.
I hope this is helpful to someone.
